SAN ANTONIO – KSAT 12 has invited mayor Ron Nirenberg and San Antonio Professional Firefighters Union President Chris Steele to debate controversial proposed charter amendments next month.
The debate is scheduled for Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. The deadline for a response from both parties is set for Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Nirenberg has accepted our invitation and we are still waiting for a response from Steele.
The debate will be televised and livestreamed on KSAT.com.
These invitations are for Nirenberg and Steele only. No other representatives for either party will be allowed to debate.
The three charter amendments will be on the Nov. 6 ballot for voters to decide.
