SAN ANTONIO – An argument at a wedding Saturday night ended with one man dead and another arrested.
San Antonio police said Juan Vicente Flores, 33, has been charged in the death of Marcos Villegas Martinez, also 33.
Police said the argument began inside Holy Spirit Church in the 8100 block of Blanco Road around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, then worked its way outside.
Investigators said Flores was one of two men who jumped into a white Ford pickup after the shooting, leaving the wounded Martinez on the ground outside the church.
Martinez was taken to University Hospital in critical condition where he died early Sunday morning.
The church's priest on Sunday addressed the issue to the congregation, asking those in attendance to pray for the families involved.
Flores is facing a charge of first-degree murder.
