BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said deputies have discovered human remains in the northern area of Bexar County.

Salazar said deputies were called out to the 600 block of Specht Road around 7:30 p.m. Thursday after the remains were found about 20 yards from the road on a 50-acre private property.

The sheriff said homicide detectives found a decomposed skull and several bones scattered in the area. He said the remains were bleached from the sun.

Salazar said it’s too early to tell if the remains are those of a male or female, as they seem to have been scattered in the area for quite some time.

Salazar said deputies will be stationed at the scene overnight to preserve it and the search for more of the remains will continue in the morning Friday.

He said it’s possible the remains are those of Andreen McDonald, who disappeared in March; however, he said it’s too early to tell.

Andre McDonald, Andreen McDonald’s husband, who was charged with tampering with evidence following his wife's disappearance, is out on bond. Salazar said Andre McDonald is under house arrest.
