Two people are dead and one person was taken to the hospital after an argument led to a shooting on the city’s East Side, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. in the 4500 block of Lakewood Drive, just west of Loop 410.

McManus said two men were arguing in a parking lot with another man, which then led to an exchange of gunfire.

Officers arrived to find two men dead -- one in his teens or early 20s and the other in his 40s -- and one man in his 50s shot in the face, McManus said.

The man shot in the face was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center.

It's unclear what led to the argument.
