BCSO: 200 pounds of weed found inside fridge, throughout home on West Side

Narcotics deputies also found loaded handgun, packaging, digital scale

SAN ANTONIO – A 29-year-old man was arrested after deputies said they found several bags of marijuana totaling about 200 pounds inside a home on the city's West Side.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office identified the man as Robert Hernandez, who is now facing a second-degree felony.

BCSO officials said narcotics deputies were executing a search warrant Friday at a home in the 200 block of Carmen Place where they found several bags of marijuana throughout the residence and inside a refrigerator.

Deputies also found a loaded 9mm handgun, packaging materials and a digital scale inside the home.

Hernandez is now being charged with possession of marijuana 50 lbs-2,000 lbs. According to online records, Hernandez has since been released from jail after posting bail.
