BOERNE, Texas – The Boerne Police Department announced it now has its first-ever chaplain.
Jason Brown, the lead pastor of Nineteen: Ten Church, will support the law enforcement agency in times of crisis.

Chaplains help officers with issues such as burnout, stress or drama in the workplace and can come from different faith backgrounds.
In addition to helping officers with work issues, chaplains’ tasks can include death notifications, crime victim support and homeless outreach.
Brown has been a member of the Boerne community for the past 15 years.
