Witnesses saw teen jump into lake

CANYON LAKE, Texas - Searchers were back at Canyon Lake Wednesday, after a 15-year-old boy died jumping into the lake.

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the lake just after noon after witnesses saw Fabien Celes jump off a cliff into the water.

Searchers from the Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife and the New Braunfels Dive Team located the teen late Wednesday afternoon.

This is the second person to die at Canyon Lake in 24 hours.

The body of a 65-year-old missing boater was found early Wednesday.

After nearly seven hours of searching, a small boat with its engine in gear was found near Tom Creek, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A body was found a short distance away. 

David Alan Morrison, 65, of Austin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
