Homeland Security, SAPD, BCSO, NB Police, DPS, Comal County all involved

SAN ANTONIO – The FBI and multiple government agencies conducted numerous raids around San Antonio early Friday.

Special Agent Michelle Lee, San Antonio FBI media coordinator, said the raids have resulted in arrests.

Lee said that the San Antonio Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the Comal County Sheriff's Office, the New Braunfels Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Texas Department of Public Safety were all involved.

FBI agents and Comal County deputies were seen raiding a home around 4 a.m. in the 800 block of Bailey Avenue not far from South New Braunfels Avenue on the city's East Side. Residents in that neighborhood said they heard loud noises.

Lee also confirmed that a raid took place at the Champion Homes at Marshall Meadow apartment complex on Marshall Cross.

At this time it is not known why the raids occurred. Lee said additional information may be forthcoming from the US attorney's office later Friday.
