Firefighters rescue man from burning home on SE Side

Man OK; fire reported in 3200 block of Kaiser Drive

SAN ANTONIO – Firefighters rescued a 30-year-old man from a burning home early Thursday on the Southeast Side.

Firefighters said they found the man in the hallway of a vacant home around 3 a.m. in the 3200 block of Kaiser Drive.

He was taken to Baptist Medical Center, but a battalion chief at the scene said the victim was walking around and looked fine.

The fire took about 30 minutes to extinguish.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
