A group from Hormel Compleats was in San Antonio on Thursday to help prepare hot meals to be delivered to local clients of the nonprofit.

In addition to the extra help, Hormel made a big donation of ready-made meals.

“They have donated their Hormel Compleats, which are similar to a shelf stable meal that we send out in that they meet certain nutritional requirements, so that if they are only getting a single meal a day, they are certain to get the nutrition that they need for the day,” said Veronica Dominguez, with Meals on Wheels.

Meals on Wheels is serving more clients than ever and are always looking for volunteer. Anyone who would like to volunteer can call 210-735-5115 for more information.
