SAN ANTONIOUPDATE 9/13/22: The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man shot in the back of the head in his car on Sunday as 21-year-old Louis Garza.

One man is dead following a shooting on the city’s West Side early Sunday morning.

At 4:20 a.m., SAPD officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Latigo Drive and Rawhide Lane.

At the location, officers noticed a car parked in the middle of the street. When approaching the vehicle, officers found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his forearm.

According to SAPD, the teen was trying to help his brother, 21, who was sitting in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to his head.

The two brothers were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 21-year-old man was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

A blood trail was found coming from the left back door of the car. However, a third victim was not located.
