Boys, 11 and 12, arrested for threatening to bring guns to school during argument, BCSO says

Both kids were arrested on Monday

SAN ANTONIO – Two boys were arrested this week after they threatened to bring guns to an IDEA public school in Southwest Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a Facebook post, BCSO said that the boys, ages 11 and 12, argued over damaged property on March 9 at the school in the 10000 block of Kriewald Drive.

At some point, the 12-year-old boy showed a classmate a video of him holding a gun, BCSO said. The video also showed another person shooting the gun.

The boy threatened to shoot up the school and the 11-year-old, BCSO said.

The 11-year-old boy then threatened to bring a gun to school, according to the post.

BCSO said the threats were reported to deputies, and warrants were issued for their arrests.

Both of the boys were arrested on Monday for charges of terroristic threat to cause fear of imminent serious bodily injury, BCSO said.

To report a threat, email SchoolTips@bexar.org or call 210-335-6000.
