Fire destroys home on South Side, SAFD says

No injuries reported

SAN ANTONIO – A home on the South Side is a total loss after a fire Tuesday afternoon, according to SAFD.

When firefighters arrived at 130 Idell Avenue, they saw flames breaking through the roof. With no reports of anyone inside, crews did an exterior hit to knock down the fire outside the home.

They then did a secondary search and knocked down the flames inside, according to SAFD.

The damaged home was a total loss. A home to the right had minor damage to its exterior.

No injuries were reported.

It’s unclear what caused the fire. Investigators are working to determine what led to it.
