Man taken to hospital after shooting at park, police say

Police said they do not know what led to the shooting

SAN ANTONIO – A shooting at a West Side park sent one man to the hospital overnight.

San Antonio police said the shooting happened at around 2:45 a.m. Thursday on NW 20th Street, near West Commerce Street.

A man in his early 20s was at the park and was approached by a person. At some point, a shooting happened and the man was grazed by a bullet in his leg.

He ran to a nearby apartment complex to call for help. He was taken to the hospital and his condition is unknown.

Police said they do not know what led to the shooting.

The shooting is under investigation.
