Fight between two groups of people ended with one father killed

SAN ANTONIO – A man has died after he was stabbed and shot during a fight between two groups of people on Tuesday night, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed.

San Antonio police said an ongoing feud between the two groups led to a fight at 9 p.m. in the 200 block of Moriama Street, not far from Castroville Road and SW 24th Street on the West Side.

At one point during the fight, the father of one of the people involved was stabbed by an unknown person.

He was also shot multiple times in the torso, police said.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed early Wednesday that he died from his injuries.

He was identified as Gabriel Campos Gonzales, 54.

Police said they were questioning people related to the victim and reviewing video of the shooter, believed to be a male.
