Woman riding bicycle killed in hit-and-run on West Side

Police do not have any information on the vehicle that hit the woman

SAN ANTONIO – A woman riding a bicycle on the West Side was fatally hit by a vehicle that kept on driving, according to San Antonio police.

At around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, the woman, who was in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle that was heading south on South General McMullen Drive near Monterey Street, police said.

Police are not sure which direction the woman was headed when she was hit. The vehicle that hit her stopped momentarily but then kept driving.

Police do not have any information on the vehicle.

The southbound lanes of South General McMullen are closed between Monterey and Buena Vista due the the investigation.
