H-E-B is bringing back its annual Feast of Sharing series for the holidays. This event is a series of festive gatherings that serve more than 340,000 meals at 34 dinners across Texas and Mexico.
For San Antonio, the Feast of Sharing will take place on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

VIA Metropolitan Transit will partner with H-E-B to provide free rides to and from the event.
Transportation includes all mainline bus services, VIA Link and VIAtrans service for registered users. When boarding, passengers need to let the driver know they are going to the Feast of Sharing for the fare-free ride.
This event was launched in 1989, and it gives the company an opportunity to give thanks to customers.
Throughout the 30-plus years of the event, more than 375,000 people have volunteered to help serve more than four million meals. If you are interested in volunteering for this year’s event, click here.
The event is part of H-E-B’s Hunger Relief Program, which was founded in 1982. This program works year-round to prevent hunger. Last year, the program donated 34 million pounds of food to families in need.
