SAPD investigating after man found dead on West Side trail

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating after a man was found dead on a trail under a bridge on the West Side.

His body was found along the Alazan Creek Trail near the intersection of San Jacinto and West Martin streets, according to a preliminary report from SAPD.

Officers responded to a call about a possible deceased individual at around 8:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive man under the San Jacinto Street Bridge.

Police said the man had possible signs of trauma, though his cause of death is unknown.

He has not been publicly identified.
