Man found dead, shot in head inside West Side home, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – A man was found shot in the head inside a West Side home early Monday, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened around 4:05 a.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Chihuahua Street near South Navidad Street.

An SAPD preliminary report said officers were conducting a welfare check on the gohomeme after the victim’s friend had not seen them since the day before.

Officers arrived and found the man had been shot in the head.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

Details about what prompted the shooting are unclear.

Homicide investigators had detained two people who lived on the property for questioning, police said. Their involvement is unknown.
