SAN ANTONIO – A suspect crashed into a truck Tuesday night on U.S. Highway 90, setting his vehicle on fire and injuring both drivers, according to San Antonio police.
The crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. in the 9600 block of U.S. Highway 90 West.

When officers arrived, a police preliminary report states they learned the suspect, identified as a 26-year-old man, was traveling westbound on the highway when he crashed his vehicle into the back of a 63-year-old man’s truck.
Police said the impact caused the suspect’s vehicle to catch fire, trapping him inside. Bystanders pulled the suspect out of the vehicle before officers arrived.
Both men were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
According to authorities, the man who allegedly caused the crash is expected to face DWI charges.
