SAN ANTONIO - If you get pulled over by a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy this year, don’t be surprised to see a camera crew jump out the police unit and later see yourself on the iconic TV show “COPS” in 2018.

The Bexar County Commissioners Court approved Sheriff Javier Salazar’s request on Tuesday, allowing BCSO to agree to terms with Langley Productions to film deputies during patrols and other police activities.

On its Facebook page, BCSO confirmed the agreement by sharing the department “will be airing on the TV Show Cops.”

“We will record from late September to late November and plan to premiere on Spike TV at the beginning of next year. We will keep you updated as to when the first episode will show,” the BCSO said in the Facebook post.
