Man wields kitchen knife, threatens store clerk in Family Dollar robbery

Robbery occurred Aug. 20 in 4000 block of W. Commerce St

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers have released an image of a suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery on the city's West Side.

The robbery occurred Aug. 20 just before 6 p.m. at a Family Dollar in the 4000 block of West Commerce Street.

According to police, the man entered the store and spoke to a sales clerk who was ringing up a sale. That's when, police say, the man displayed a kitchen knife and demanded that the clerk open the register.

The man took all the money from the register and fled the scene, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
