SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 20s was shot and killed answering the door of a South Side home late Sunday night, San Antonio police said Monday.

The shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Grosvenor Street, found not far from SW Military Drive and Interstate 35.

Police said the homeowner had friends over at the time and was expecting a third to stop by when they all heard a knock at the door. The victim answered the door and was shot in the neck, police said.

The others inside the home said they did not see what happened and only heard the gunshot.

So far no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
