Police seek driver of fatal hit-and-run on San Pedro Avenue

64-year-old James Hicks was pronounced dead at scene

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a fatal hit-and-run.

The incident occurred on Sept. 11 around 1:30 a.m. in the 10000 block of San Pedro Avenue.

According to police, 64-year-old James Hicks was attempting to cross the street on foot when a dark blue Toyota Tundra struck him.

The driver of the truck fled and did not render aid, police said. Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
