San Antonio police seek restaurant burglar

SAN ANTONIO – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and finding a man wanted for a burglary earlier this month.

The burglary happened Sept. 5 at the Hearsay restaurant at 709 S. Alamo Street.

A witness told police that he walked to the restaurant so he could set up the alarm system. Police said that when he tried to put the key in the door lock, the door opened with minimal force. The witness said the door had been opened, and he walked inside.

Police said saw that a computer screen had been knocked down. He picked up the screen to set it back on the table and discovered items had been taken, including cash and a cash register, the police report said.

The witness did not know who might have entered the property.

Anyone with information on the robber's identity or his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867). Police said Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the those responsible for the burglary.
