SAN ANTONIO – Fiesta Texas joined other Six Flags theme parks on Friday in taking down its usual flag display, replacing flags representing the Confederate States, Texas, Mexico, Spain and France with six American flags.

Six Flags released the following statement regarding the decision to take down the flags, namely the Confederate States flag:
At Six Flags Over Texas, we strive every single day to make people happy and to create a fun, thrilling and safe family friendly experience for our guests. We always choose to focus on celebrating the things that unite us versus those that divide us. As such, we have changed the flag displays in our park to feature American flags
The decision to take down the flags came after the theme park chain encountered backlash following violent and deadly protests in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Some threatened to cancel their season passes while others applauded the theme park chains for taking down the flags.

They removed the flags Mexico, Spain, Republic of Texas, France, and the Confederate States...the park is even themed after the countries...
