SAN ANTONIO – Kawhi Leonard updated his status after the Spurs Game 5 overtime win against the Rockets Tuesday night at the ATT Center.
Leonard said in the locker room the injury was to his ankle and it felt sore after the game.

Leonard was asked if the injury would keep him out of Thursday’s Game 6 at Houston and responded by saying he would play.

Leonard added the injury occurred while he was playing transition defense. He had 22 points and 14 rebounds but could not finish the game and did not play in overtime.
In Leonard’s absence, the Spurs pulled through in overtime and won 110-107 to take a 3-2 series lead.
Danny Green scored 16 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 points and 14 rebounds.
In his first start of the series, Patty Mills scored 20 points and played a team-high 43 minutes.
The gritty Game 5 win was a complete team effort with Manu Ginobili and Jonathon Simmons both scoring 12 points off the bench.
Simmons also played tough defense on James Harden and Ginobili had the game-sealing block in overtime against the Rockets superstar.
Game 6 in Houston is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Toyota Center.
