Fans unleash anger toward Warriors' Zaza Pachulia after Kawhi injury
Spurs' star injured in third quarter of Game 1
SAN ANTONIO – Spurs and NBA fans alike took to Twitter on Sunday to share their displeasure at the Warriors’ Zaza Pachulia.
Pachulia was guarding Spurs star Kawhi Leonard during the third quarter, when his foot slid under Leonard’s.
The Spurs forward landed awkwardly, spraining his ankle.
He left for the remainder of the game.
The rest they say is history, the Spurs lost a 25 point lead falling to Golden State in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
During post-game interviews, Leonard said his ankle hurt a lot, but that he does not think Pachulia intended to hurt him.
Below are just some of what fans said on social media.
There's no convincing me Zaza Pachulia wasn't trying to injure Kawhi Leonard. Dirty play. pic.twitter.com/O2vn3SSfKd— Dan Molloy (@DanMolloyTV) May 14, 2017

You Warrior fans really hyped for that win when @zaza27 purposely injured the Spurs best player? Ok.— B (@maashirma) May 14, 2017
What Zaza Pachulia just got away with doing just makes me sick. So that's how Golden State has to win now.— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) May 14, 2017
