BGC 2017 Preview: Holy Cross Knights
SAN ANTONIO – The Holy Cross Knights will look to pick up where they left off last season after an 11-2 campaign and state semifinal appearance.
The Knights return a total of 13 starters from a team that finished second in district play.
Key starters returning include linebacker Josh Centeno, who finished last season with 114 tackles and seven sacks.
Defensive back Jaime Ramirez had 90 tackles and five interceptions.
Holy Cross opens its season on Thursday, Aug. 31, with an intriguing game against defending District 28-5A co-champion Lanier at Alamo Stadium.
