Colorado’s Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders talks to reporters ahead of Alamo Bowl

SAN ANTONIO – “Coach Prime” and the Colorado Buffaloes will have media availability on Tuesday morning as they prepare for the Valero Alamo Bowl.

Coach Deion Sanders, Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur and Defensive Coordinator Robert Livingston are slated to start speaking at 11:15 a.m. You can watch their media availability live in the video player above.

The No. 17 BYU Cougars will take on the No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes on Dec. 28 at 6:30 p.m. CST in the Alamodome.

BYU enters the matchup with a 10-2 overall record and 7-2 in Big 12 play. Led by head coach Kalani Sitake, the Cougars have held the ninth-best winning percentage among FBS coaches since 2020, at 44-18.

Colorado, with a 9-3 overall record and a 7-2 mark in Big 12 play, returns to the Alamo Bowl for the fourth time.

Sanders has guided the Buffaloes to their first bowl appearance since 2020. This is Colorado’s second nine-win season in 22 years.

Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter — and not ex-Incarnate Word and current Miami (FL) quarterback Cam Ward — was awarded the 2024 Heisman Trophy on Saturday night, making him the second Buff ever to earn the honor (Rashaan Salaam, running back, 1995).
