A Canyon Lake High School teacher has resigned amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with a former student, the Comal Independent School District confirmed to KSAT on Friday.

A former Canyon Lake High School teacher, who was arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student in 2023, was charged with 18 additional crimes, according to Comal County Jail online records.

Baten Evans, a senior at Canyon Lake High School, is celebrating scholarships and art recognition.
