Students Share Their Thoughts on Fantasy Football

However, fantasy football still provides many people with the opportunity to connect with their friends while enjoying football. Fantasy Football is a competition in which everyday people draft professional football players to be on “their team.” These players accumulate stats in real-life games, but they also stack up points for their fantasy owners based on how they do on the field. “I was first introduced to fantasy football by my dad when I was 12, and I’ve played in the same league as him every year ever since. “I like fantasy football because I know nothing about sports and I’m doing better than everyone that follows football religiously,” said Taylor Rountree, junior . Despite the injuries and the rescheduled games this season, many students have continued to enjoy fantasy football.

Peterson played the past two seasons with Washington, rushing for 1,940 yards and 12 touchdowns in the fourth stop of a career that will likely earn him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Bucs use goal-line stand to beat Panthers 20-14

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - When Cam Newton left the shotgun and began creeping toward the line of scrimmage, Buccaneers cornerback Vernon Hargreaves knew exactly what was coming. The goal-line stand, particularly the fourth down play, was just the icing on the cake. It would be hard to imagine the Panthers taking the ball out of their 6-foot-5, 245-pound quarterback's hands in the past. "He had a hell of a week as far as mentally preparing and getting ready for this ball game. Kevin Minter, who replaced White, was given the game ball after finishing with eight tackles.
