Lawyers Lisa Banks and Debra Katz, who represent more than 15 former team employees, met with NFL senior vice president and special counsel for investigations Lisa Friel on Monday. Snyder vowed to change the culture inside the organization amid 42 women speaking out about their experiences working for Washington.

The Post reported a former cheerleader saying Snyder invited her to a hotel room with one of his friends, and that longtime team executive Larry Michael made extra cheerleading videos for the owner showing sensitive material that wasnt made public. Snyder released a statement denying those specific allegations and saying he was unaware of the incidents until now. The latest story cites 25 more women who said they experienced sexual harassment while working for the team. I take full responsibility for the culture of our organization, Snyder said.

That conversation renewed calls for Snyder to change the name called a dictionary defined racial slur by Native American advocates and experts.

In a statement, the team said recent events around the U.S. and feedback from the community prompted the formal review. FedEx, the title sponsor of the Redskins' stadium in Landover, Maryland, said Thursday, We have communicated to the team in Washington our request that they change the team name. On Thursday night, Nike appeared to remove all Redskins gear from its online store. Washington mayor Muriel Bowser said recently the name was an obstacle to the team building a stadium in the District.

WASHINGTON The title sponsor of the Washington Redskins stadium wants the NFL team to change its name. We have communicated to the team in Washington our request that they change the team name, FedEx said in a statement Thursday. The company paid the team $205 million in 1999 for the naming rights to FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. The other 31 NFL teams were listed and a search for Redskins came up with no results. The team's lease at FedEx Field expires in 2027, and it is still talking to Washington, Virginia and Maryland about building a new stadium.

The Washington Redskins are removing former owner George Preston Marshall from their Ring of Fame and striking all references to him on their website. The spokesman said the Ring of Fame is removing Marshall's name from its stadium in Landover, Maryland, on Wednesday and the process to alter the website is underway. A day earlier, Events DC removed a statue of Marshall from the team's former home at RFK Stadium in Washington. Marshall owned the franchise from its inception in 1932 and moved the team from Boston to Washington several years later. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1963 and died in 1969.
