A man who initially faced a murder charge for opening fire after the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win was sentenced Monday to just two years in prison.

Court documents say the man accused of firing the first shots at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rally told authorities he felt threatened, while a second man said he pulled the trigger because someone was shooting at him.

Two men have been charged with murder in last week’s shooting after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.
