A Japanese court has held North Korea responsible for human rights violations against four plaintiffs lured to the country by false promises of a "paradise on Earth."

A Japanese court is hearing from five people who say they were promised “paradise on Earth” in North Korea but suffered instead and now want the country to compensate them.
