At least three members of the State Board of Education tested positive for COVID-19 after a four-day, in-person meeting in November, multiple board members confirmed to The Texas Tribune. Two other board members also tested positive, board chair Keven Ellis told The Texas Tribune. All three tests came within two weeks of Nov. 20, the last day of the board meeting, according to Ellis and Pรฉrez. Support staff for the board sent emails to members last Monday and Tuesday telling them the two members had tested positive.
