As a cold rain continues to fall across San Antonio, some drivers on the North and South Side are experiencing a slow and damp Thursday afternoon drive home.

A portion of Interstate 35 on the Southwest Side is closed on Tuesday morning due to a crash.

San Antonio firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire at a South Side home on Tuesday morning.

A motorcyclist was hospitalized after he was hit by a car while towing an improvised trailer late Friday night, San Antonio police said.

SAN ANTONIO – One person is dead and another person is injured after three motorcycles crashed while racing on Loop 410 late Monday night, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred around 11 p.m. on Loop 410 between Palo Alto Road and South Zarzamora Street. According to police, three motorcyclists were racing eastbound on SW Loop 410 at a high-rate of speed when they all lost control of their motorcycles. Authorities said they found another motorcyclist injured in the median between the main lanes of eastbound Loop 410 and the access road. The crash site on Loop 410 was closed as emergency crews worked.

SAN ANTONIO – First responders rescued a driver with the jaws of life after crashing into an 18-wheeler on Monday. The incident happened in the 10900 block of Applewhite Road, less than a mile outside of Loop 410, near Palo Alto Road. The driver crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the 18-wheeler, police say. The driver was taken to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say. This is a developing story, and we’ll update this article as more details become available.

SAN ANTONIO – An 18-wheeler crash forced the shutdown of a stretch of San Antonio highway early Thursday morning. The accident occurred just before midnight Wednesday on Interstate 35 northbound between Somerset Road and Palo Alto Road on the city’s South Side. According to police, the 18-wheeler was headed for the access road when it jackknifed, nearly hitting someone.
