And in the end: A fan's notes on Peter Jackson's Beatles doc
Peter Jackson's Beatles documentary “Get Back” runs for nearly eight hours and the only real criticism you can make is that it doesn't last longer. For the Beatles fanatic, and we are a vast and obsessive community, every moment offers some kind of revelation or random pleasure, along with glimpses of what was to come and what might have been. It's the most in-depth look we've ever had of the Beatles at a given moment, but should not be mistaken for more than a given moment.news.yahoo.com

Parker needed special permission from the Overseas Investment Office because he isn’t a New Zealand resident and the Weta Digital studio is worth more than 100 million New Zealand dollars ($71 million). Weta will issue new shares for Parker, diluting Jackson's stake. In 2016, Parker and Akkaraju founded a video-on-demand startup called Screening Room, which this year relaunched as SR Labs.
Court says Judd can sue Weinstein for sexual harassment
LOS ANGELES A federal appeals court on Wednesday restored a major part of Ashley Judds lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein, finding that the producer had power over the actor which should make her able to sue under a California sexual harassment law. Circuit Court of Appeals found that Judd should be allowed to pursue both parts of her lawsuit against Weinstein. A lower court judge dismissed her sexual harassment allegations but left intact her claim of defamation. Judd's attorneys had sued Weinstein under a California law that prohibits sexual harassment by people, other than employers, with professional power, including teachers and landlords. This is an important victory not only for Ms. Judd but for all victims of sexual harassment in professional relationships," Judd's attorney Theodore Boutrous Jr. said in a statement.

Illustration by Ren RaderWhen in September the lead for the new Amazon Lord of the Rings continuation series was revealed, it reminded me that such a series was in the works. But since that release, I hadnt heard much about the series. That same energy is what powered Game of Thrones to a cult-like following and a reputation for excellence. That is where the Amazon Lord of the Rings series is rumored to be setting itself in, a no mans land of sorts without a defined source text. Lord of the Rings has so much stacked against it.trinitonian.com
