Family hit twice by gun violence remembers legacy of late Army drill sergeant
SAN ANTONIO โ A Topeka, Kansas, family is demanding justice after their loved one, U.S. Army Drill Sgt. Jessica Mitchell, was gunned down early New Yearโs Day. The family said Jessica Mitchell was beyond loved by those who knew her. โShe is shy at first but very positive,โ said Mayo Mitchell, Jessicaโs father, also an Army veteran. They had this to say for the suspect still at large:โThou shall not kill,โ Mayo Mitchell said.

New Braunfels Catholic church celebrates 175 years of history
New Braunfels โ The year 1845 does not only represent a landmark for the city of New Braunfels, but also the start of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in the city. COVID-19 canceled the city and churchโs big plans to celebrate the huge milestone birthday, but that hasnโt stopped church officials from appreciating the history behind it all. โThe bishop came over and talked to the city leaders of New Braunfels and said, โHey, you guys promised us some land for our church. โIt was the little room that grew,โ Phelan said. โThis church has been here for a very very long time,โ Phelan said.
