An RBI-single in the top of the 6th ended up being the difference in a classic pitchers duel, as the Judson softball team's magical season comes up one run short of the UIL Class 6A State title in a 1-0 loss to Deer Park.

With the weather forcing a change of location to Leander, Judson softball didn't miss a beat, scoring early and adding insurance late in a 6-2 victory over Rockwall in the UIL Class 6A state semifinals on Friday.

For the first time in program history, the Judson softball team has advanced to the UIL Class 6A State Tournament. The Rockets defeated Austin Bowie in come-from-behind fashion in game two by a final score of 4-3.
