Woman killed in crash with fence

SAPD: Driver trapped in truck for nearly an hour

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said a woman was killed overnight following a crash into a fence on the city's Northwest Side.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. in the 2600 block of Vance Jackson Road, found near Interstate 10 and Adrian Drive.

Police said the driver may have had her truck door open when she hit the fence. The driver then became trapped in the truck for at least an hour, police said.

The woman however died at the scene.

At this time it is not known if alcohol played a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
