SAN ANTONIO – Balcones Heights police said a woman was hit and killed by a tow truck early Tuesday morning while she attempted to cross a street to catch a bus.
The accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Fredericksburg Road, found not far from Interstate 10 and Crossroads Boulevard on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said the woman, Aurora Gutierrez Uristi, 67, was wearing dark clothing and that the driver of the truck did not see her when the accident occurred.
Uristi was taken to University Hospital where she later died.
No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
