Boy, 10, rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after NW Side crash

Drivers, passengers of all vehicles taken to University Hospital


SAN ANTONIO – A 10-year-old boy is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on the Northwest Side.

Police said the crash happened on the access road of Northwest Loop 410 and Zangs Drive around 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

A Toyota that was stopped at a stop sign on Zangs Drive failed to yield the right of way as it turned right onto the access road and it collided with a Ford Focus traveling east on the access road, police said.

The boy was a passenger in the Focus, which was unable to avoid the collision.

The child was rushed to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, along with the other occupants of the Focus and the driver of the Toyota.

No criminal charges are pending.
