"She was stronger than all of us"

DJ Galan was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2020, after it had already spread to her liver, bones and brain. Her family thought the fight might break her. Instead, her brother says they learned she was stronger than all of them, and she spent the next six years teaching, loving on her son Adam and singing karaoke with a smile. Now her siblings Leti and Bobby are keeping her spirit alive through Head for the Cure with a team named after the phrase she said constantly: "We Can Do It."
