Brooks City Base to get diverging diamond

San Antonio is getting its second diverging diamond interchange, and this one is headed to the Southeast Side. TxDOT is spending $40 million to untangle I-37 near SE Military Drive, where the design shifts drivers to the opposite side of the road so left turns don't have to cross oncoming traffic. State models project a 90% cut in travel times for drivers exiting southbound I-37 onto SE Military.
