A deadly tornado rips through Karnes and DeWitt County, killing 36

It was on this day in 1930, that an F4 tornado developed just north of Kenedy. It quickly moved northeast damaging homes near Runge and lifting around Nordheim. The storm would kill 36 people, ranking it as the 7th deadliest tornado in Texas since 1900.
