SAN ANTONIO – Forbes released its 2017 world billionaires list and four San Antonians are among those on the list.
Christopher Goldsbury and B.J. “Red” McCombs, both of Silver Ventures, are tied in the Forbes ranking at No. 1,290. They both have a net worth of $1.6 billion, according to Forbes.

Rodney Lewis, who made his fortune in the oil and gas drilling industry, is ranked at No. 1,376 with a net worth of $1.5 billion.
James Leininger, founder of Kinetic Concepts Inc., is ranked No. 1,567, with a net worth of $1.3 billion.
Other notable billionaires with San Antonio ties include Charles Butt and Tom Benson.
Butt, the H-E-B chairman and CEO, is not on the individual list because Forbes designated him under family wealth in 2016.
Benson has lived in New Orleans and for more than 30 years. He owns the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans. Benson was ranked No. 782 with a net worth of $2.6 billion.
Bill Gates was ranked No. 1 overall with a net worth of $86 billion.
The highest ranked Texan was Walmart heiress Alice Walton, of Fort Worth. Walton is ranked No. 17 with a net worth of $33.8 billion.
The list also included Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and President Donald Trump. Click here to see the full list.
