SAN ANTONIO – Tony Magaro, along his two childhood friends, are all about their heritage, culture and food.
"We had a conversation where we suggested that we needed to bring back the local, Italian flare," Magaro said.
The word "fratello's" means brother and the love Magaro and his partners have for each other is the same love and passion that is shown to their customers every day.
"When you come here, this is home," Magaro said.
The food options are all made fresh by hand daily.
Deli sandwiches, pizza, pastas, desserts and breakfasts are all on the menu.
One item to definitely get is the meatballs. They are hand-rolled with fresh ingredients and then fried. The sauce they are then cooked in is made from scratch with pork ribs to add more flavor to the taste.
You can also get some new creative items like the Tre Latte, also known as a basil tres leches cake.
Going to either location either on Broadway or the new spot downtown at 115 Plaza De Armas you can't go wrong. It's the perfect place to enjoy a family dining experience with great Italian food.
Flavor Favs this week is probably one of my favorites of the year. So much passion and love behind this Italian food. Find out where Friday morning on GMSA #KSATnews pic.twitter.com/ojwK9JhLov
