Big Ol’ Bella Bean Burger
Prep time: 20 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 6 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. steak seasoning
- 1 ½ cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 tbsp. canola Oil
- 4 each whole grain buns
- 4 slices red onion
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1 tomato
- 1 head red leaf lettuce
Instructions
1. In the bowl of a food processor, combine mushrooms, black beans, mustard and seasoning. Pulse to combine. Mixture should be chunky.
2. Remove to a large bowl. Then add in the egg and bread crumbs. Mix to combine.
3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal balls. Flatten the balls out and set aside.
4. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in the canola oil. Swirl to coat pan.
5. Cook burger patties 3 minutes per-side.
6. Place patties on buns and garnish with your favorite toppings
