Consumer Reports preferred a Behr paint to Farrow and Ball
Consumer Reports puts five dozen paints to test, recommendeds one from Behr
Consumer Reports whipped out the rollers and brushes to put 60 paints through tough tests.
Tests included stain resistance and how well the paint covered dark stripes.
The $100 Farrow and Ball, known for its designer colors, did not cover well with one coat. A $34 Behr paint from Home Depot did better.
Testers found Home Depot could match the Farrow and Ball color within one percent.
As for stain resistance, both the Farrow and Ball and Behr did a good job.
In the end, they gave top ratings to the Satin Enamel Behr Premium Plus Ultra.
